Work involved
Project
The project involved creating a modern front-end for a webshop website by revamping its outdated design in line with new corporate design guidelines.
Briefly about Hausbrot.at
Home delivery of fresh bread and many other food products in Vienna. A provider of everything you need for breakfast or lunch break. Fresh, high-quality, regional and delicious.
The consulting company provided detailed wireframes and design proposals, serving as the foundation for the front-end development work.
I needed to transform the existing webshop templates to align with the new visual and structural requirements. This meant not only adjusting layouts and styles but also ensuring that the entire user experience was cohesive and seamless. The project required a strong understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, to bring the designs to life and create a visually appealing and user-friendly interface.
Many interactive components are powered by React. Also, some elements are created using Alpine.js.
In addition to template adaptation, I wrote all the JavaScript for the website’s interactive components. These scripts were essential for delivering a dynamic user experience, including features like dropdown menus, sliders, and other interactive elements that respond to user actions. The end goal was to achieve a fully responsive and engaging front-end that matched the new design guidelines, providing users with a fresh and modern online shopping experience.
A big part of the design was to adapt to mobile devices, while over the years more than half of all visitors ware coming from mobile devices.
